Sir, - With the death of Mother Theresa, the world has lost a wonderful gift. The light of her self-sacrificing love gave hope to many of those most in need. And for the rest of us, that light showed just how badly we fall short in living a life of sacrificial love.
May I then suggest that the best way to honour Mother Theresa is not by bestowing on her a sainthood which, as a believer in Christ, she already has. Rather, we should seek to honour her by committing ourselves to loving God and our neighbour more each day, as Mother Theresa had so clearly committed herself. - Yours, etc.,
