Sir, - With reference to Maire Buffet's letter (March 14th) concerning John O'Conor and Anthony Hughes, I feel I ought to, make it clear that the present B.Mus. programme at UCD cannot accurately, or usefully, be identified with the material criticised by Dr O'Connor, and defended by Dr Buffet.
I make this observation without comment on the prereceived merits or demerits of the old degree described by Dr Buffet in her letter. Your readers may wish to know that, one way or the other things have moved on in UCD. - Yours, etc.,
