Sir, - On Monday, October 13th, I travelled from Connolly Station to Belfast on one of the new Enterprise trains. I had a very comfortable seat and enjoyed a pleasant journey in a quiet and smoke-free atmosphere.
However, on the 4.10 p.m. return train the trip was made most unpleasant by a cacophony of pop music belching forth from the carriage loudspeakers.
The new rolling stock is of the highest international standard, but passengers anticipating a pleasant journey can find themselves subjected to enforced annoyance by the playing of unwanted pop music. - Yours, etc., Stanley N. Wilson,
