Madam, - The suggested interference with the popular choice of house and estate names seems an unwarranted intrusion by the "thought police" of orthodoxy. The country has a rich stock of townland and place names of Gaelic and Anglo-Irish origin. The naming of some new housing developments after perceived exotica is an innocuous indulgence we should enjoy rather than deplore. - Yours, etc.,
PEADAR CASSIDY,
Moynehall,
Cavan.
