Madam, - In your edition of June 5th you write of the "broad welcome from Government and Opposition politicians to the agreement to establish Irish as an official working language of the European Union".
May we hope that welcome will be followed up with the use of more Irish in Dáil debates? It is surely not acceptable that a mere 1 per cent of the business of Leinster House is conducted through the language. - Yours, etc,
SEÁN Ó CEALLAIGH, Castleknock, Dublin 15
