Sir, - In a report headed "Pupils swap class for summer sun" (The Irish Times, May 2nd), Eibhir Mulqueen writes: "Inside the schools, the teachers, relieved of their duties, hung around staffrooms. . ."
As a staff we categorically deny that allegation. We were teaching the pupils who attended and were busily working with the school planning and development co-ordinator. - Yours, etc.,
Geraldine Cahillane, and The Staff, St Anne's Primary School, Rathkeale, Co Limerick.
