Sir, - The continued puzzlement of Kevin Myers (An Irishman's Diary, January 31st) at the outcome of the Hugh O'Flaherty case, even after re-reading the documentation, reminds me of a story which was current relating to the Munster Circuit of the High Court in the 1950s. A judge addressed the pleading Counsel: "I've read your submission; I've read it twice, and am not a bit the wiser." Counsel responded: "If you say so, my lord, but at least you must be better informed?" - Yours, etc.,
