Sir, – On Saturday night, March 3rd, sitting in our beautiful National Concert Hall, I felt the joy of living in Ireland had returned.
For three wonderful hours I forgot all the woes the fiscal situation has brought us and cherished the devotion and hard work that Dún Laoghaire Choral Society and composer Shaun Davey had put in to attain a fully booked concert hall.
All this had been achieved with no quangos, large expense accounts or political pull. – Yours, etc,
