Madam, - Liam O'Flanagan (June 29th) only just avoided a road accident when driving in Donegal as he attempted to "decipher" a sign written in Irish.
The populations of both Portlaoise and Dún Laoghaire (to name but two towns with Irish names) have good reason to fear any attempt by Mr O'Flanagan to negotiate their highways.
