Madam, - Colin Rogan and Thomas Bibby (March 24th) showed great restraint in the language used to disagree with the Road Safety Authority's decision not to put an English version of the Rules of the Road on line. Your Weekend Review article on the subject says the decison was taken "because the RSA wants to use sales to meet the costs of the initial print run of 50,000 books".
Given that everyone involved in road safety acknowledges the importance of driver education, the decision of the RSA would be better characterised as breathtakingly stupid. - Yours, etc,
DAVID WARREN, Hollybank Avenue, Dublin 6.
