Sir, - Fr O'Hanlon's letter on the ordination of women provokes two questions.
First, why would God wish to restrict ordination to men? Second, is it a coincidence that those who benefit from the argument that maleness rather than Jewishness is the essential qualification for ordination are themselves always male and hardly ever Jewish? Or is this a case of cutting the cloth to suit the men of the cloth? - Yours, etc.,
