A chara, - It is with some surprise that I note the large advertisement for helplines for inquiries on post-mortems and organ retention by certain hospitals in your edition of March 17th. Just over a year ago some of the same hospitals ran similar advertisements. I phoned the Rotunda helpline and was spoken to by a lady who had not seen the advertisement. I also wrote to the Rotunda around that time making specific inquiries about a post-mortem and possible organ retention of our first-born baby.
To date I have had no reply. - Yours, etc.,
