Madam, - In his interview with Michael Dwyer (Magazine, October 20th), the actor Rupert Everett says: "We don't have any statues of Oscar [Wilde] in England".

This is incorrect. There is a statue of Oscar Wilde by Maggi Hambling in Adelaide Street, near Trafalgar Square, in London. It is called A Conversation with Oscar Wildeand is also a bench you can sit on. - Yours, etc,
