Sir, - I'm sure I echo the sentiments of many ordinary citizens when I regret the end of President Robinson's tenure at the Aras. Her dignity and charisma have undoubtedly helped to propel us out of the Dark Ages and contributed immeasurably to our new international image.
Over the last seven years, she has breathed new life into what had, hitherto, been a banal job description. I salute her and wish her well. She is a hard act to follow.
