A chara, - Your Editorial (of January 29th) seems remarkably sure of itself about the "membership formula" for Ireland's accession into PfP and expresses great certainty that it is not "a stepping stone into NATO membership".
Perhaps in the interest of ensuring that we are not "intellectually ill-prepared" for the ensuing political debate, as well as ensuring our right to freedom of access to information, you could detail in your paper what you know about this "membership formula" to the Irish people, the ultimate guardians of our Constitution, and let us decide what we think of edging closer to a nuclear military body which operates outside of any accountable parliamentary system.-Yours, etc., Clare O`Grady Walshe,
