Madam, - Traffic on our roads is regulated by having all drivers drive on the left. In bustling busy city centres it might be a good idea to regulate the walkers on the footpaths.
If the shop side of the path was for browsers, window-shoppers, chatters, relaxed strollers and the outside was for people who were in a hurry to get somewhere, this might prevent them from getting in each others' way. It's just a thought. - Yours, etc,
