Madam, – It is with stunning irony that staff at the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland have challenged in the High Court the pension levy being applied to their very generous and secure pensions (Home News, June 18th).
As one who lost his entire pension as a result of the self same staff not doing the job they are paid to do, ie regulate the banks; I feel they are very lucky to still be employed let alone look forward to a pension for what is a nominal contribution. – Yours, etc,
