Sir, - Recently I spent a few days on holiday in south Kerry in the Derrynane/Caherdaniel area, a region of pristine natural beauty, which even now looks magnificent.
However, Kerry County Council planners have given permission to build tourist houses on a site cut out of the side of the mountains and if this continues the visual beauty will be impaired.
Frank McDonald has written eloquently on this subject for years. Have the planners and politicians in Kerry any long-term plan to preserve such areas from over-development? - Yours, etc.,
Hollybrook Court, Dublin 3.
