Sir, - Now that a decision has been made to review the points system for entrance to third level education, I appeal to the media and the school community in general not to add to the hype of Leaving Certificate pressure.
It is important to truly believe that there is no correlation between points achieved and the worth of an individual. Yes, of course points are important in so far as they help students get to where they want to go, but whether a particular student gets 100 or 600 points is irrelevant as long as they have done what they can.
