Sir, - Who wants to be a millionaire 60 times over? The GAA, of course - and they didn't even have to phone a friend. Their friend had already given them the answers.
In PR terms it seems the organisation has learnt nothing from the debacle over the use of its Omagh grounds, even though it was one of the largest contributors to the Omagh fund.
At a time when we in the North are attempting a new beginning and trying to show that we can all work and live together, the GAA remains firmly locked in its own time-warp. It has become increasingly difficult to argue with the unionist proposition that it is a sectarian organisation.
I trust the GAA will now return the £1"millionplus it took from the British lottery last year in order to demonstrate its cultural purity. - Yours, etc.,
Brendan Horisk, Olde Forge Manor, Belfast 10.
