Madam, - As one of the insulted old soldiers, I must agree with the comments of James O'Connor, who has anticipated my own anger. The President's remarks on the IRA were gratuitous and offensive to all retired and serving soldiers of the Irish Army who have loyally served this State at home and overseas since the foundation of the State.
