A chara, - The decision by the IRTC to remove the frequency of 102.2 FM formerly used by Raidio na Life to allot it to a new broadcaster is both arrogant and inequitable.
Raidio na Life has broadcast for six years on the 102.2 FM frequency. It has provided a remarkable service all over Dublin and beyond in a wide variety of programmes. The station has become closely associated with the 102.2 FM band. To alter this now amounts to an enormous waste of time and expense. What return will the station obtain for all the years of work by hundreds of youngsters in their spare time? The arbitrary nature of the action by the IRTC portrays it as a body sadly lacking in imagination and devoid of any true cultural goodwill. - Is mise,
