Sir, - As a member of the Church of Ireland, I find that the most disturbing aspect of this matter is the judgmental attitude of senior clergy of the Church. The relationship of the Taoiseach and Ms Larkin is their private business. I know nothing of it nor am I interested in same. However, I feel that the compassionate teachings of Christ have been largely forgotten and perhaps the clergy should remember that Christ did state that "to the pure all things are pure" and "judge not".
It was the Pharisees who criticised Christ for helping Mary Magdalene. - Yours, etc.,
Tim Bracken, Popes Quay, Cork.
