Madam, – Eamon Delaney (Opinion, February 16th) questions the justification of Irish aid agencies continuing to support developing or third world countries whose population has grown as he calls “recklessly”. This oversimplification of global wealth inequality smacks of ivory tower observation at best and neo-colonialism at worst . One could sum up his entire opinion as: there are just the correct number of us, but too many of ye. Where have we heard that before?
