Sir, - It is laughable to the point of buffoonery to read and listen to people rant against "immigrants". These same people write indignant letters in a script based on Phoenician, numbers based on Arabic, in a hybrid language imposed by the English on paper invented by the Chinese, and print it on type invented by a German, whilst swigging al kohl, an Arabic word, and swearing on the cross of their Jewish/Aramaicspeaking Near Eastern god.
As they put down their biros (from Biro, the Hungarian who invented it), adjust their ties (invented by Croat bandits to wipe sweat from the forehead) in smug satisfaction, sticking on Chopin (a Pole), let them reflect on how much we owe to the peoples of foreign lands. - Yours, etc., Jan Golden,
Ranelagh Village,
Dublin 6.
