Madam, – I wish to express my support for the survivors of institutional abuse and my disbelief and dismay at the decision to defer the Dáil debate on the Ryan report to hear the motion of no confidence in the Government.
Has the Opposition or Government considered how the survivors must feel about this, having arranged a march to Leinster House to coincide with the debate? Disgraceful.
Perhaps the more appropriate motion is one of no confidence in politicians – put to the people. – Yours, etc,
