Madam, - The OPW's announcement that it is to remove the temporary car park now covering Leinster Lawn is most welcome (The Irish Times, April 19th). As a gesture to a future united and inclusive Ireland, perhaps the bushes currently being allowed to conceal the statue of Queen Victoria's consort, Prince Albert, might also be removed. In fact, reuniting Victoria and Albert on Leinster Lawn (releasing Victoria from her near 20-year Antipodean exile) would not only send a very strong message of welcome to Northern Protestants, but would also remind Southern voters that Bertie Ahern's Government is committed to the Constitution's support of marriage as opposed to separation and/or divorce. - Yours, etc.,
STEVEN C. FFEARY-SMYRL, Templemore Avenue, Rathgar, Dublin 6.
