Madam, - In response to the letter of July 2nd from Paul Delaney, my question is: why shouldn't children's books be read by and reviewed by - and for - adults as well as children?
To quote C.S.Lewis, one of the great writers of both children's and adult's literature: "A book that is not worth reading when you are 60 is not worth reading when you are six. Great children's literature is never childish."
Perhaps their simplicity, imagination and creative genius is just what is needed in an increasingly complex world. - Yours, etc.,
