Sir, - I recently wrote a letter to the IRFU in which I said: "I am a 14-year-old girl in an all-girls school. I am not a member of a rugby club. Therefore I find it extremely difficult to obtain tickets to the Five Nations matches. Could you be of any help?"
This was the response: "Dear Ms Liddy, - Thank you for your recent letter inquiring about tickets for the above international match [Ireland v England]. I regret to inform you that we do not sell tickets from this office for any match. They are distributed through the clubs and branches throughout Ireland and of course to the visiting union.
"I am sorry that I cannot be of any more assistance to you on this matter. Ticket Officer."
As I had stated that I did not belong to a club, do you think this is fair to a 14-year-old girl rugby fan? - Yours, etc.,
