Madam, - In his Eating Out (Magazine, August 25th), restaurant reviewer Tom Doorley insinuates that in a restaurant he visited, the staff were "a bit up themselves" and "take themselves rather seriously".
In the same review, Mr Doorley spends the first two paragraphs talking about himself, describes himself as a "commentator in a national newspaper" and wonders which BBC radio presenter he more resembles.
As a food expert, maybe Mr Doorley understands the phrase, "What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander". - Is mise,
