Madam, – I am a former patient of St Luke’s Hospital and on Thursday I heard that two of the TDs in the Dublin South East constituency in which the hospital is located were claiming that St Luke’s has been “saved”. Their definition of “saved” is not mine.
Saving St Luke’s means retaining it as the centre of excellence it already is and possibly expanding services there.
Using the buildings and wonderful site for another use, however worthy and even if health-related, is not saving St Luke’s. – Yours, etc,
