Sir, - The letter headed "Saying Sorry" (May 11th), a terse screed from a Dublin gentleman excoriating "the phenomenologist Karol Wojtyla", a.k.a. Pope John Paul II, for traipsing around the globe apologising for the sins of the children of the Church, instead of halting the decay precipitated by the perverted Vatican II, gently resonates the wonderment of those, centuries ago, who could cry out in admiration: "See how these Christians love one another!" - Yours, etc.,
E. Leo McMannus, Venice, Florida, USA.
