Secondary School Cycle

Sir, - Just how much does a "special adviser" to the Taoiseach know? Martin Manseragh stated (March 12th) that "the Government in the late 1980s created a uniform six-year cycle at secondary level". If such is the case how come my children, and many others, are offered only a five-year cycle? - Yours, etc.,
