Sir, – If the use of anti-depressants has risen from 4 per cent to 5 per cent between 2007 and 2011 as per your Editorial (October 27th), this can hardly be described as what you call “relatively stable” – it is in fact a 25 per cent increase. Unless of course 4 per cent in 2007 was a rounding of say 4.4 per cent and 5 per cent in 2011 was a rounding of say 4.5 per cent, in which case the increase would be just over 2 per cent.

The reader is entitled to accurate portrayal of figures. – Yours, etc,
