Sir, - After the recent conviction of the child-molesting Franciscan brother Brother James Mungavan, head of the order, expressed his horror and apologised to the victims (The Irish Times, February 11th). But actions speak louder than words.
I propose that the Church authorities set up an inquiry into Church records and establish just how many former and currently practising priests have been moved from parishes following complaints from both children and parents.
Or will it always be the case that these prosecutions are victim-led? - Yours, etc.,
