Sir, - Every time I hear the Minister for Public Enterprise (among others) expounding on the proposed Dublin light rail system I feel the urge to shout, like the chorus in Jimmy Durante's famous Lost Chord: "Who's Lewis?' Is it not already excruciating enough to have to endure highly-paid pubic figures (e.g. politicians right up to the Taoiseach, and most RTE commentators) discussing "the Dawl" and "Feena Fawl"? Surely we might expect an ex-Minister for Education to pronounce correctly a simple Irish word such as Luas. - Yours, etc., Diarmuid O Murchadha,
Crosshaven, Co Cork.
