Madam, - Well done to Séamas Céitinn from Belfast for his wonderful letter of April 25th. I have long said that the alteration of initial letters by eclipsis, lenition or by prefixing h and t is not good for Irish, and in fact is stupid. We should get rid of such features.
The three different dialects also confuse greatly. I suggest making the Munster dialect the dominant one, as I think it is the clearest and easiest. - Yours, etc,
