Sir, - In my opinion, nobody should have the right to pollute the air in an enclosed public space. For instance, no smoking of any kind is allowed in the new Enterprise rail service between Dublin and Belfast. Smoking is not allowed on the DART either. This is as it should be.
Why should smoking continue to be allowed in pubs, inflicting smoke and polluted air on non-smokers? The concept of a smoke-free area in a smoke-infested enclosure is a misnomer and an absurdity. - Yours, etc., Micheal O Nuallain,
Monkstown, Co Dublin.
