Sir, - Sonia O`Sullivan is becoming a little like the rain this summer - tiresome. went home early on Tuesday to watch her run. I did not expect her to win, but what I had not anticipated was her conduct during and after the race. She would not have won a gold medal in spite of what the experts in the studio and at the track claimed. Their bias is shameful. When the interference came she died. Miss Jacobs, on the other hand, was far more badly impeded by Sonia, yet went on to win a silver medal and was extremely unlucky not to win.
The interview with Tony O'Donohue after the race sickened me. She blamed everybody but herself, pathetically trying to make us believe she would have won if A, B or C hadn't occurred. When the questions were asked on the track she was unable to respond - it's as simple as that. - Yours, etc.,
