Madam, - I have just returned from a weekend in Dublin with my wife, her sister and my brother-in-law. We were fortunate enough (or so we thought) to get tickets to see U2 at Croke Park last Friday.
Our seats were, admittedly, not the best - third row from the back on the upper tier - but there were three large video screens so we would at least be able to see the band as they performed.
When Snow Patrol came on stage the sound was echoing around us and we could not make them out very well. When U2 appeared the sound got even worse. Spoken words were indecipherable and the lyrics and music sounded as if three bands were playing the same song at one-second intervals.
I have tried unsuccessfully to contact someone via the U2 website. If I had had a bad experience in a hotel, restaurant or shop I could make the management aware of my grievance. I am sure that the band would like to know their concert was not a great experience for everyone. - Yours, etc,
