Madam, - Sophie Toscan du Plantier, born Sophie Bouniol, was savagely murdered between the night of December 22nd and the morning of the December 23rd, 1996 at Dunmanus West, Goleen, Co Cork.
Since then, for 11 years, Sophie's family has not ceased to demand justice in Ireland and in France.
During these past 11 years, Sophie's family has been refused access to the criminal investigation files in Ireland.
For 11 years, the truth has not been known and the murder has remained unpunished. It appears that all investigations are stopped.
We demand that this unacceptable paralysis of the relevant jurisdictions cease. We demand that the criminal investigations be resumed, that the truth be established, that the murderer(s) be arrested, judged, condemned and that justice be done. - Yours, etc,
