Sir, - As a member of the Barry family - and I'm sure I speak for the other families involved - I wish to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely all those who lined the streets of Dublin on Sunday. I can assure them that we were amazed by the sight of thousands of people all along the route that day, and drew great comfort from it.
I would especially like to commend the Army, the Air Corps, the Navy, the Garda and also the prison staff at Mountjoy for their professionalism. The day could not have been what it was without them, they are a tribute to the nation. - Yours, etc.,
Michael Barry, Hacketstown, Co Carlow.
