Madam, - As a UCD graduate and retired Irish-American surgeon, I am appalled at the state of the Irish health service - an atrocious two-tier system.
Would it not help if medical employees were removed from the national wage agreement? The system needs more Irish nurses and it will not get them until they are paid well enough to allow them to live better, particularly in Dublin. - Yours, etc.,
