Sir, - As the proprietor/manager of a nursing home, I was deeply offended by Fergal MacAlister's sinister reference to "old people's homes" (May 20th).
God forbid that Mr MacAllister may find himself one day in one of those places. But if he does, he may be pleasantly surprised to find a warm, caring atmosphere where the elderly can enjoy retirement in comfort. - Yours, etc.,
