Madam, - The Crisis Pregnancy Agency's recently published statistical report covered in your paper (Home News, April 18th) presents, for the first time in one document, a range of indices that shed light on reproductive decision making and childbearing in Ireland. The report is based on robust data, supplied from a number of different sources including the Central Statistics Office and Eurostat. It has been rigorously complied, edited and subjected to academic review.
We reject the assertion by Deirdre Hayes (April 20th) that the report is seriously flawed. We respectfully suggest that, while she may feel her argument regarding city boundaries is valid, it is better made at agencies responsible for collecting data - not those which accurately report on it. - Yours, etc.,
SHARON FOLEY, Director, Crisis Pregnancy Agency, Capel Street, Dublin 1.
