Madam, - Ed Haughey (April 7th) has made a valid point, and I wish to add my support. I lived for a number of years in London, and I can confirm that the media there maintained a dignified silence during the exam season, and quite rightly.
Surely the time has come for the media in this country to adopt a more mature attitude, and stop the circus surrounding the Leaving Certificate. - Yours, etc,
