Sir, - In her recent piece about John Clarke and his role at the helm of 2FM (The Irish Times, April 3rd), Kitty Holland makes an amusing error which I fear may be age-related. I laughed when I read that Mr Clarke worked at one time for "Ernie's Chocolate". Any chocolate-loving Irish person born before about 1965 would remember Urney's chocolate - a very different taste from Cadbury's or Rowntree's but yummy just the same, if a little less sophisticated. Urney had a Smartie equivalent called Beanos which came in a flat brown box. I remember they tended to be shovelled in, rather than savoured like their more fashionable cousins. Urney's also made the outstanding Two and Two bar, and I have vague recollection of a most toothsome creation in which each square had a different flavour cream filling. - Yours, etc., Philip Jackson,
