Sir, - Having read the article in your paper by the Taoiseach (Opinion, January 16th), I was amazed at his paranoia. Does he really believe that the ASTI was mounting industrial action and depriving students of their education in order to embarrass or bring down the Government? I think Mr Ahern and Fianna Fail are quite capable of doing this themselves, considering that his party's membership has included Lawlor and Burke - to mention just two.
Resolving this dispute, not inflaming matters, should be his principal concern. - Yours, etc.,
