First, break down Eyjafjallajökull into its components: Eyja, pronounced Eye-ah means Island. Fjalla, pronounced fyalla is mountain. Jökull, yercool, is glacier. The whole name simply means island-mountain-glacier: Eye-ah-fyalla-yercool. – Yours, etc,
