Sir, - I write as somebody who has attended the Mater Hospital continuously over 35 years and has come under the care of Mr Neligan's team and also as somebody who has been going to Croke Park for 60 years and has had a lot of involvement with the GAA. I am appalled that £20 million can be handed out to an association which has many other ways of getting funding while the handicapped, people in need of urgent medical treatment, schools (our local VEC school has to use buckets to contain rainwater on wet days) and many such deserving causes have to beg for funding. - Is mise,
Dublin 9.
